The 1756-L82E controller is a standard ControlLogix controller that has been designed by Allen-Bradley. This controller is meant to be installed in a whole ControlLogix system, which is chassis-based and provides several options for configuring a wide variety of communications and I/O capabilities. This controller supports multiple programming languages which makes it versatile when it comes to compatibility with different equipment, and this versatility enables the controller to perform sequential, process, motion, and drive control functions. The Allen-Bradley 1756-L82E standard ControlLogix controller comes with one of the simplest configurations available because it consists of a standalone controller with specific I/O assembled in just one chassis. Multiple controllers can be installed in this chassis and once these are mounted, they can be directly connected to their respective networks. Although the chassis supports multiple controllers, the Ethernet port of another controller for adding the remote I/O must not be bridged.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-L82E standard ControlLogix controller features a user memory capacity of 5MB and an Ethernet/IP network that supports up to 80 nodes at a time. The controller comes with a secure digital memory card that is highly recommended since it can store valuable data during operations.
