The 1756-TBS6H is a removable terminal block which is used along with the Allen-Bradley 1756 ControlLogix modules. The 1756-TBS6H is a spring clamp removable terminal block. When connecting any module with the Removable Terminal Block (RTB), first strip a wire to a maximum length of 11 millimeters and then insert the screwdriver into the outer hole to depress the spring clamp. Insert the wire into the terminal and then remove the screwdriver. To prevent any damage to the module, it is necessary to make sure that the wire is inserted into the open terminal and not the screwdriver. The manufacturer recommends installing the wires from the bottom and then moving up.
It is also recommended to use cable ties to secure the wires in the strain relief areas. The 1756-TBS6H is a 36-pin spring clamp block with a standard housing. These RTBs help users to connect the plant wiring to the controller I/O modules and the RTB plugs into the front of the I/O module. The RTB is a separate accessory and it must be ordered separately. Users should not connect more than a single conductor or wire on a single terminal of the 1756-TBS6H. Users should turn off the power when connecting or disconnecting the module to prevent electric arcs which can cause an explosion in hazardous locations. Follow the wiring guidelines and the connection diagrams as specified by the manufacturer in the installation manual for the device. Users need to use an extended depth housing along with the RTB if they are using the wire with the 14 AWG gauge. This needs to be ordered separately.
