The Allen Bradley 1756-OB8I 8-point Digital DC Output Module is a digital output module for the Allen Bradley ControlLogix Controller, which is used for sharing high speed and process control output in many automated industrial applications. This module is located a ControlLogix chassis, and it requires Removable Terminal Block (RTB) or an Interface Module for installation and connection of all field side wiring. The 1756-OB8I has 8 individual isolated 24 Volt DC outputs, with an operating voltage range of 10 to 30 Volt DC, and with a total backplane power of 0.89 Watts. It draws 2 milli-Ampere minimum backplane current at 24 Volt DC and 165 milli-Ampere, and it has a maximum signal delay time of 1 millisecond from OFF to ON and 2 milliseconds from ON to OFF state. The 1756-OB8I has 0.5 milli-Ampere leakage current per output point, with 0.5 Volt DC voltage drop at 2 Ampere maximum output point current, and it has a maximum aggregate value of 16 A per module. It has 250 Volt voltage isolation between output to the backplane using reinforced insulation and between output to output using basic insulation both tested at 1350 Volt AC for 2 seconds. The 1756-OB8I like most 1756 I/O module is designed without a protective fuse, but it is recommended to install with fuse protected interface module which confers protection to the output module. This module is keyed to removable terminal block mechanically, and it has T4 factory designated temperature code. The 1756-OB8I has no rated enclosure and is designed to operate without derating at 0 to 60 degree Celsius (32 to 140 degree Fahrenheit) operating temperature and 5% to 95% non-condensing relative humidity. It can withstand 30G operational shock and is CE, UL, CSA, and C-TICK.
