The Allen-Bradley 1756-L85EK module is an industrial control module in the ControlLogix series. The only other things that the module needs for installation are a Series C ControlLogix chassis (or a Series B chassis in situations where the module is derated) and a compatible ControlLogix chassis power supply. The 1756-L85EK control module comes with 40 MB of user memory and it can support as many as 300 Ethernet/IP nodes at one time. The programming languages that it can use are the Structured Text, Ladder Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, and the Function Block Diagram programming languages.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-L85EK control module can control 32 tasks at a time, and it can also control up to 1000 programs per task. It has several communication options that include the Ethernet, DeviceNet, and ControlNet networks. The 1756-L85EK control module can also communicate through a variety of third-party networks.
