The 1756-L83EK processor is a ControlLogix 5580 processor module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It comes with 10 MB of user memory and it is very easy to use. This industrial unit comes with an embedded Ethernet port for internal communication and network applications. It supports speeds of up to 1 GB. The front of the processor has an LED indicator to show the power status, network status, and link status of the processor. The LED indicator illuminates and blinks for different events. The 1756-L83EK processor has a 4-character alpha/numeric display to show the application information. The outer body of the processor is conformally coated to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
The 1756-L83EK processor is efficient and can handle up to 1000 program tasks at a time with event triggers. It supports up to 128,000 digital I/O and 4000 analog I/O. The processor can be mounted on any I/O chassis inside the ControlLogix cabinet. The processor supports the extension of its user memory via an SD card.
