The 1756-IA8D is a ControlLogix Diagnostic Input Module with 8 Diagnostic Inputs manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The module will use the ControlLogix system clock from a PLC to generate timestamps for a fault when it occurs or when it is cleared. This is all conducted with 1 millisecond of accuracy and it leaves users with further information processing. The RTB housings that can be mounted on this module are the 1756-TBCH and the 1756-TBS6H. The 1756-IA8D’s voltage category is 120 Volts AC. This module has a maximum power dissipation of 4.5 Watts at 60 Degrees Celsius and 0.58 Watts of backplane power.
The 1756-IA8D has 8 individually isolated inputs and a change of state function for each individual channel is manually configurable. Make sure to configure this feature only for the points that are in use. The loss of power is configured in the 46 to 85 Volts range. The operating temperature of the device is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA8D module has status indicators for the users to visually inspect the module with one glance. On the front side of the module, there are OK status and I/O status LED lights. There is also a locking key.
