The 1756-IA32 input module is a digital 32-point input module from the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix series. This input module runs on AC power.
Other Available Revisions for the 1756-IA32 1756-IA32//A
The 1756-IA32 is a ControlLogix Digital AC 32 Inputs Module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. Its 32 analog inputs are divided into 2 channel groups. Input devices are wired to this module via the Allen-Bradley 1756-TBCH and the 1756-TBS6H removable terminal blocks housings. Operators can also use the Bulletin 1492 prewired cables that are designated as the 1492-IFM40F, the 1492-IFM40D120A-2, and the 1492-IFM40F-2. On the front side of the module, operators will find a locking tab that secures the chosen RTB or IFM part on the module. This module supports hot swapping and removal under power.
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA32 is protected with 250 Volts AC continuous isolation voltage. It is supplied with 120 Volts AC voltage at 50 to 60 Hertz. The module has a user-adjustable filter time (selectable as 1 milliseconds or 2 milliseconds in the 'on' to 'off' transition and 1 milliseconds, 2 milliseconds, 9 milliseconds, or 18 milliseconds in the ‘off’ to ‘on’ transition’). The maximum power dissipation of the module is 6.1 Watts at 60 Degrees Celsius. It can resist 2 kV of line to earth current surges on the signal ports. For programming and configuring purposes, the Studio 5000 Logix Designer from Rockwell Automation is available. It is used to set the parameters on the 1756-IA32 and to all other modules related to the ControlLogix PLC systems. The housing of the Allen-Bradley 1756-IA32 is IP20 protection rated and operators can use this digital AC input module in surroundings with ambient temperatures less than 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). To help users in troubleshooting anomalies, this module has 32 LED indicators on the front.

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA32 module is a digital I/O module from the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation ControlLogix product line. It has 32 input points and it runs on AC power in a range from 74 to 132 Volts AC. The communication formats that the 1756-IA32 digital input module supports include the input data format, the CST time-stamped input data format, the rack optimization data format, the listen-only input data format, the listen-only CST time-stamped input data format, and the listen-only rack optimization data format. In the standard input data format, the 1756-IA32 digital input module returns just the data from faults and inputs. In the CST time-stamped format, the module returns its input data with time stamps to show when changes were made. In the rack optimization format, the 1756-IA32 digital input module collects data in the form of digital words from the remote chassis and converts them into 1 rack image.
When the Allen-Bradley 1756-IA32 ControlLogix digital input module is used in the listen-only versions of the standard input data, CST time-stamped input data, or the rack optimization input data formats, the formats will operate in much the same way as they normally do, but they involve listen-only connections. During normal operation, the 1756-IA32 digital input module dissipates about 6.1 Watts of power at a maximum ambient temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. Its minimum operating current rating is 5 milliamps at 74 Volts AC while its maximum operating current rating is 10 milliamps at 132 Volts AC. The maximum off-state input current supported by the 1756-IA32 digital input module is 2.5 milliamps.
The 1756-IA32 input module is a digital 32-point input module from the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix series. This input module runs on AC power.
