Allen-Bradley manufactured the 1756-EN4TR module is a ControlLogix series controller module. This controller module is designed for use with an Ethernet/IP network. The 1756-EN4TR controller module can be utilized in a star or a DLR topology control system. This controller can be used as an Ethernet/IP bridge device with an embedded switch that uses copper media. It supports transmission rates of 10 Mbps (megabytes per second), 100 Mbps, or 1 Gbps (gigabytes per second), as well as integrated motion on up to 256 Ethernet/IP network axes. The 1756-EN4TR controller module supports SNMP, although it depends on password security. Its I/O packet rate capacity, measured in packets per second, varies based on the device configuration. Without CIP protection, the packet rate capacity can be 50,000 packets per second, 25,000 packets per second with integrity, and 15,000 packets per second with integrity and confidentiality. Its applications controlling, I/O modules and drives, acting as an adapter for I/O on remote Ethernet/IP links, communicating with HMIs and other Ethernet/IP devices, and bridging Ethernet/IP links to route messages to devices on different networks are some of the critical applications for the 1756-EN4TR controller module. It allows for duplicate adapters. When required, the 1756-EN4TR controller module can be used in explicitly protected mode, which prevents any configuration changes to the module from being made while it is operational. The 1756-EN4TR controller module is a potent and adaptable device that can be used to build a variety of industrial automation systems, such as manufacturing, automation sectors, oil and gas, and many other operations.
