The 1756-CPR2U ControlLogix redundant power supply cable is a complementary cable used for chassis adapters. The 1756-CPR2U cable by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation is used with the 1756-ControlLogix series of redundant power supply systems which offer crucial uptime chassis protection for different applications requiring special operating conditions. When it comes to ControlLogix systems, the main goal is to provide support by a redundant power supply during power supply anomalies which may occur during operation. The AC and DC versions provide versatility since the users can choose either, depending on their needs. The flexibility of this system offers the possibility of mixing or combining the two variants of the devices in any way necessary in a mechanical system. The 1756-CPR2U cable has a length of 0.8 meters or 2.62 feet and it does not come with the basic package of redundant power supply from the ControlLogix series. This supplementary piece for chassis adapter must be purchased separately.
According to the Allen-Bradley specifications, it is determined that the users should be aware that the cable bend radius is allowed to be greater than or less than the minimum clearance for the mounting of the chassis. In order to ensure proper operation, it is necessary to maintain a mounting clearance for the chassis at the minimum at all times. The complete ControlLogix system consists of a redundant power supply, the 2 or 3-foot cable, a chassis adapter, and annunciator wiring as an optional piece for connection to the solid-state relay for status and troubleshooting. The users can choose one of several models or a combination of power supply modules, cables, and chassis adapters. The ControlLogix redundant power supply choice include the 1756-PA75R/A, the 1756-PB75R/A, the 1756-PAXTR, and/or the 1756-PBX. The users can also choose between the 1756-PSCA2 or the 1756-PSCA2XT redundant power supply chassis adapters. Besides the 1756-CPR2U cable, there are two more available cables, the 1756-CPR2 or the 1756-CPR2D.
