Other Available Revisions for the 1756-CJC 1756-CJC//A
The Allen-Bradley 1756-CJC is a 1756 ControlLogix thermocouple sensor kit which is a cold junction compensation thermistor. The 1756-CJC can be used with both the 1756-IRT81 or the 1756-IT16 module and it comes with 2 jumpers. These jumpers are attached to the screw terminals of the module. For temperature correction in the thermocouple analog input modules, the 1756-CJC utilizes the cold compensation thermistor which is temperature-dependant. The sensor type for the 1756-CJC is cold junction compensation and it utilizes the totalizer fill and power features for its operations and functions. The sensors that are provided with the 1756-CJC are universally compatible with two other devices of the same series, namely the Allen-Bradley 1756-IRT81 or the 1756-IT16 analog modules. These module lack their own CJC sensors when switched to thermocouple mode, and this is where the 1756-CJC’s sensors come into play.
Providing precise temperature correction along with improving thermocouple reading accuracy, the 1756-CJC is one of the best thermocouple sensor kits on the market. In case an RTB is used for channel-wiring the module, the use of the ControlLogix 1765-CJC cold junction compensation kit becomes mandatory for the 1756-CJC. The device features an open enclosure that does not have any restrictions. The maximum power dissipation of the 1756-CJC is 6 Watts at 60 Celsius. The backplane current is generated at 2 voltage configurations; 5 Volts DC and 24 Volts DC. At 5 Volts DC, 10 Amps are generated, while at 24 Volts DC, 2.8 Amps are generated. The operating temperature range of the device is between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius.
