The 1756-BA1 contains manganese dioxide at a concentration range of between 30 and 40%. The 4 lithium metal concentration percentage on the 1756-BA1 is 2.9% while the mixture of solvent of carbonate and ether is 12 to 18%. Basically, the 1756-BA1 is a Sanyo lithium cylindrical SE type of cell battery. The ratings for the 1756-BA1 are 3 Volts DC terminal voltage and 1800 mA on the nominal battery capacity. As indicated above, the 1756-BA1 comes with lithium contents and it uses a lead wire connector terminal. The 1756-BA1 is designed to fit into an open style enclosure. The backplane current is 10 Amps for 5 Volts DC while for the 24 Volts DC the backplane current should be 2.8 Amps.
The operational temperature ranges between -40 and 60 degrees Celsius. The ambient storage temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. Under circumstances where the temperature of a machine operating beneath the 1756-BA1 is 1 degree Celsius above 30 degrees Celsius, consider changing the 1756-BA1 battery within 3 years. Ideally, the higher the surrounding temperature, the sooner the battery should be replaced. The 1756-BA1 weighs 17 grams while the dimensions are 20 × 24 × 8 inches. The 1756-BA1 should be handled with care. When handling the 1756-BA1, avoid crushing it and do not expose the 1756-BA1 to excessive physical shock. The 1756-BA1 positive and negative terminals should not be short-circuited with any conductive metals. A damaged 1756-BA1 should be placed into a suitable container or a sealed plastic bag after cooling. Note that in case of accidental short-circuiting, even for a few seconds, this reduces the 1756-BA1 battery life.
