About 1769-WS

The 1769-WS is a CompactLogix and MicroLogix compatible module that is manufactured by Hardy Process Solutions, an encompass partner company of Allen-Bradley. This module is Weigh scale interface module, compatible for interfacing up to Four (4) 350 ohm Full Wheatstone Bridge, Strain Gauge Load Sensors/Cells (5 volt excitation) on one vessel. The 1769-WS is compatible for use with CompactLogix controller and MicroLogix 1500 controllers. This module is capable of reading weigh scale data to linearize and condition signals from strain gauge, load sensors, or load cell with update time of 100 time per second. This data is transmitted by the module to the controller backplane and to the installed processor for inclusion in the user logic for monitoring and control. The 1769-WS can be easily integrated to the controller with the pre-configured Add-on profile from the manufacturer. The 1769-WS also comes with a faceplate, Add-on instructions (AOI) for Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). This controller is mounted directly to backplane, similar to other CompactLogix module. The 1769-WS is a high-resolution module, capable of tolerating large measurement dead-bands and oversized load sensors. Even with the disturbances present, the modules high-resolution measurement remains capable of providing a reliable weight readout. The 1769-WS provides excitation voltage of 5VDc to energize up to Four (4) 350-Ohm loads sensors or load cells installed to a single weigh scale. This module incorporates Hardy Process Solutions WAVESAVER technology for vibration and frequency rejection. Vibration rejection settings are user configurable with available options of 0.25 Hz and above in 5 selectable steps. The 1769-WS is a single slot module with installation requirement similar to CompactLogix modules. It also has a digital voltmeter function with a resolution of 10% of full-scale Resolution. The module is installed with status LED indicators such as OK Module Status, bi-color LED and Scale 1 Functional Data, bi-color LED. The resolution of the 1769-WS is 1:8,388,608 with non-linearity of 0.0015% of Full Scale. The 1769-2WS must be installed following Power supply distance rating of Four (4) which means that the module must be installed within 4 slots on either side of the power supply. The 1769-WS has optional accessories that may be purchased separately such as remote termination kits with catalog number HI-1769-XX-RTA; RTA Cable Assemblies with Cable Length of 6 ft. or 1.525 meters from the single channel module to the RTA and HI 215IT Series waterproof enclosure Junction Box that are National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) rated, used to sum up from one to four load sensors.
