1769OG16 Allen Bradley 5 VDC TTL OUTPUT MODULE AB Rockwell Automation
The Allen-Bradley 1769-OG16 Compact TTL Output Module is a solid-state microprocessor-based device that is specifically designed and built by Allen-Bradley in order to enable an Allen-Bradley 1769 Programmable Logic Controller to send commands in a TTL waveform. The main characteristic of the transistor-to-transistor logic (TTL) output module is that it works in binary states, that is, it senses the presence or absence of a direct voltage level, generally a voltage level of 5 Volts, and this is a feature that makes it ideal for transmitting digital information. In this module, the TRUE state equates to 0 Volts, and the FALSE state equates to 5 Volts. Using an Allen-Bradley 1769-OG16 Compact TTL Output Module enables a 1769 PLC to communicate with a wide variety of electronic equipment and to be a part of different types of digital networks.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-OG16 Compact TTL Output Module comes from the factory with 16 independent outputs, and all of them are configured in a low-to-true format, with a voltage category of 5 Volts DC TTL. The default operating voltage range starts at 4.5 Volts DC and goes up to 5.5 Volts DC, with a maximum peak-to-peak ripple of 50 millivolts. For external wiring connections, Allen-Bradley recommends using Belden shielded wire with a part number of 8761 or equivalent. The power supply for the Allen-Bradley 1769-OG16 Compact TTL Output Module should be rated as a Class 2 power supply, and it should work within a DC voltage range of 4.5 to 5.5 Volts DC. The power wires from the voltage source to the module can have a maximum length of 10 meters. Note that only one wire should be connected with each output terminal, so that the TTL signal quality is not affected.
