The 1769-OA8 output module is an Allen-Bradley compact I/O module. It is part of the Allen-Bradley 1769 series. This output module can handle voltage loads of 120 and 240 Volts AC. This CompactLogix module has 8 outputs and the outputs are divided into 2 groups of 4. The operating voltage range is between 85 Volts and 265 Volts AC. The on-state current of the module is 10 milliamps at a minimum. The signal delay of the turn-on and turn-off cycle is a ½ cycle each. The bus current draw of the module is 225 milliamps with 5 Volts DC line voltage with a power rating of 1.125 Watts. The 1769-OA8 output module dissipates a total of 4.9 Watts of energy in the form of heat when all the output points are powered on. The I/O module can be mounted using a DIN rail. The module weighs 2 pounds. The I/O module has an open enclosure and it should be used in an indoor location only.
The 1769-OA8 output module is designed with a terminal block that can be easily accessed to connect to the I/O sensors and the actuator units in a system. The temperature for normal operation ranges between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. While not in use, it can be stored at a temperature between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius. The 1769-OA8 output module has been certified with the c-UL, CE, and C-Tick standards.
