The Allen-Bradley 1769-L37ERMSK is a Compact GuardLogix controller with conformally coated design. This controller belongs to the 1769 Compact GuardLogix product family. This GuardLogix controller is capable of being used in combination with standard 1769 CompactLogix modules. The embedded safety capability of this controller is ideally used in applications that require safety in mid-range automation applications. This Compact GuardLogix controller is certified for 1oo2 safety architecture and certified up to and including Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL 3), and Performance Level e (PL e) functionality. Compact GuardLogix controllers are provide high-functionality in a cost-effective and compact platform, Rackless I/O design for flexible and scalable advantage and installation, support for Analog, digital and specialty modules that are used in most industrial automation requirements and applications, modern and multi-partner connectivity via the embedded EtherNet/IP interface as well as compatibility with ControlNet, and DeviceNet Networks and Truly integrated safety and motion control. The controller is capable of handling 32 Controller tasks wherein 100 Programs may reside in a single task. It has a built-in 4GB user memory intended for standard control and 1.5MB safety memory. When used with Human Machine Interface (HMI) devices, the controller can function standard control with a visualization system, allowing the HMI to access standard tags for read and write functionalities however, safety tags are only available as Read Only data. Additionally, the 1769-L37ERMS is provided with One (1) removable Secure Digital (SD) card with 1GB memory capacity. This feature contributes to much easier system maintenance and contributes to faster response time in case of controller errors. The 1769-L37ERMS supports installation of up to Thirty (30) local I/O modules using 1769 Compact I/O modules. The controller is designed to be located to the left-most side of the device. Only One (1) controller is supported in One (1) CompactLogix assembly. The controllers power supply distance rating is Four (4) which pertain that the controller must be installed not more than Four (4) modules away from the power supply. Compatible Power supply for use with this controller are 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, and 1769-PB4. The controller has an integral Motion control capability over Ethernet I/P. It is capable of implementing motion control in Sixteen (16) axes wherein compatible motion drives include Kinetix 350, Kinetix 5500, Kinetix 5700, and Kinetix 6500 drives for Position loop, Velocity loop and Torque loop. PowerFlex 755 drive is also compatible for Position loop, Velocity loop, Torque loop and Frequency control application.
