About 1769-L37ERMOS
The 1769-L37ERMOS is an Armor Compact GuardLogix controller. This controller is designed with variety of features which include standard controller capability, Motion control capability as well as Safety functionalities within an IP67 rated enclosure. This controller is ideally used in machine automation requirements as it comes with an enclosure designed for close installation to machines or within the machine itself. It features all the standard functionalities of a 1769-L37ERMS Compact GuardLogix controller having an integrated user memory of 4MB, Safety memory of 1.5 MB and a pre-installed 1GB memory courtesy of the 1784-SD1. This controller supports up to Thirty (30) 1769 Compact I/O modules to serve as local expansion modules. This controller especially supports On-machine I/O blocks to act the controllers distributed I/O modules. The Motion capability of this drive enables control of Allen-Bradleys Kinetic and PowerFlex drives over Ethernet I/P. Such Kinetix drives include Kinetix 350, Kinetix 5500, Kinetix 5700, and Kinetix 6500 drives for Position loop, Velocity loop and Torque loop control. Compatible PowerFlex unit is a PowerFlex 755 drive where Position loop, Velocity loop, Torque loop and Frequency control is supported. Ethernet I/P is the primary communication interface used by the 1769-L37ERMOS as it has Two (2) Ethernet communication interface. User may implement Ring topology, Linear and Star topologies as these topologies are the supported network topologies by the controller. Program upload and download may also be implemented via these communication interface. Supported transmission speed is 10/100 Mbps and supports up to 64 Ethernet nodes. Physical connection to the Ethernet interface is accomplished via the D-Code M12 cordsets which are IP67 rated, same as the controller. The controller also has secondary port in the form of USB 2.0 which may be accessed when the modules fromt access door is removed. Do not drill holes or create additional openings to the controller as this may compromise and invalidate the IP67 protection rating. Mounting holes and screws are already provided for use during controller installation. IP67 only offers protection to entry of water jets and foreign contaminants however, it doesnt offer vibration and shock limiting protection to the device. Install the controller to a location with acceptable range of shock and vibration or install vibration and shock limiting accessories to prevent damatge to the controller. For setting the IP address of the Armor CompactLogix controller, BOOTP-DHCP tool may be used wherein the unique MAC address of the controller is tied up to a user defined IP address.F.A.Q for 1769-L37ERMOS
