About 1769-L37ERMO
The Allen-Bradley module with part number 1769-L37ERMO is an Armor CompactLogix controller. This CompactLogix controller is delivered within an enclosure that is Rated for Ingress Protection (IP67) and UL Type 4X applications and environments. The 1769-L37ERMO is ideally used for machines which is typically used by Machine Builders or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). As the controller comes with its own enclosure, it can be mounted in close vicinity with the machine or to the machine itself. I/O modules intended for this controller are On-Machine I/O distributed blocks as well as standard distributed I/O modules. The 1769-L37ERMO has Two (2) Ethernet communication ports, that supports design of resilient TCP I/P topology through the Device Level Ring (DLR) which is a fault-tolerant topology. It may also be designed in simple linear and star topology. This controller does not used Cat5 or Cat6 cable to establish physical connection instead, circular IP67 rated cordsets. Not only the ethernet interface uses cordsets but the power supply as well. This controller ships with a removable Secure Digital (SD) card with catalog number 1784-SD1 which has a 1GB memory. Aside from the non-volatile memory, the controller has integrated and non-upgradable user memory that amount to 3MB. The Armor CompactLogix controller also supports BOOTP-DHCP tool for setting the device MAC address. When using ControlFlash, it is important that power supply to the controller as well as communication path are stable and secured. The 1769-L37ERMO is provided with LED status indicator mounted on the devicef ront panel for easier access. The indicators include RUN, FORCE, I/O, OK, NS, LIMK 1, LINK2 and SD. It also has Front access panel doors which provides access to the controllers mode toggle switch, Controller memory card socket, Controller USB port, Controller reset button and Power supply fuse circuitry. The controller is also provided with a USB 2.0 port that is primarily used to provide temporary connection to the controller as well as to download initial configuration to the controller such as hardware definition, IP address and other controller settings. The 1769-L37ERMO enclosure must bot be modified nor drill holes into it. Such activity will compromise and void the IP67 protection degree.
