About 1769-L37ERMK

The 1769-L37ERMK is a conformally coated Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This CompactLogix controller is part of the 5370 L3 CompactLogix product family which is ideal for use in small to medium application or application that requires motion and increased complexity. The conformal coating of the 1769-L37ERMK allows the controller to be installed in harsh installation areas or environment where presence of moisture, dirt, dust and corrosive air are present. This increased protection is not available by default with other controllers and only specified for such environmental conditions. The 1769-L37ERMK has Two (2) Ethernet communication ports. These Ethernet communication ports allow the controller to communicate with programming workstation, Visualization systems such as Human Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). These communication port may be arranged in different topologies to meet the requirement of the application. Supported topologies include Device Level Ring (DLR), Linear and Traditional Star. This controller supports 256 controller connections, 120 TCP connections, 256 Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) connections, 256 CIP Unconnected Messages, Packet Rate capacity of 6000 @ 500 bytes/ packet, HMI/MSG of 400 messages/s @ 20% comm. Timeslice and 32 multicast produced tags and 128 unicast produced tags. The transmission speed supported by this controller is 10/100 Mbps using Cat5 or Cat6 cables. The 1769-L37ERMK motion control capability features compatibility with Kinetix 350, Kinetix 5500, Kinetix 5700, and Kinetix 6500 drives which can be configured to implement Position, Velocity and Torque control. The controller may also be used to control PowerFlex 755 drive for Position loop, Velocity loop, Torque loop and Frequency control application. Up to Sixteen (16) motion control axes is supported by the 1769-L37ERMK. The 1769-L37ERMK comes with an Open style enclosure. For continuous and guaranteed operation, this controller must be mounted to a DIN or directly to a mounting plate and placed inside an enclosure that offers adequate protection to elements. The required operating temperature to be maintained within the enclosure is 060 C or 32140 F. To maintain the required temperature, climate control devices may be installed such as heater and cooler. Aside from the temperature requirement, vibration and shock must be limited to 5 g @ 10500 Hz and 20 g for DIN rail mounting and 30 g Panel installation. Panel mounting installation offers more resistance to shock. Up to Thirty (30) local I/O expansion modules may be used with the controller. 1769 Compact I/O modules are compatible for use which may be distributed in a maximum of Three (3) I/O expansion banks. Distributed I/O architecture may be implemented over Ethernet network. Typically used remote I/O device are 1794 Flex I/O and 1734 POINT I/O. I/O banks may be installed horizontally and vertically with expansion direction of Right bank to right bank expansion, left bank to left bank expansion and right bank to left bank expansion.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-L37ERMK is a conformally coated CompactLogix controller that belongs to the 5370 L3 CompactLogix family. This controller has 4 Mbyte memory, Dual Ethernet communication port and One (1) USB port. It supports 64 Ethernet nodes, Thirty-One (31) 1769 Compact I/O modules and features integrated motion capability supporting up to Sixteen (16) axes.
