About 1769-L33ERMOS

The Allen-Bradley controller with catalog number 1769-L33ERMOS is an Armor CompactLogix controller. This controller is especially designed for machine builders supporting Allen-Bradley On-Machine I/O technology. The 1769-L33ERMOS is designed with an enclosure Rated for Ingress Protection (IP67) and UL Type 4X applications and environments. This controller does not require installation however, may still use of an enclosure to allow a stand-alone installation. The integrated module enclosure is already capable of protecting the controller itself. It allows installation near the machine or to the machine itself if permitted by the process. When mounting the controller, minimum spacing requirements is 30 mm or 1.18 inches on all sides of the controller. Mounting feet can be attached in either horizontal or vertical orientation. Attache the mounting feet to the controllers body through the Four (4) flat head screw included with the controller. The controller can be mounted directly to a machine with the use of the Four (4) mounting holes that is also provided with the controller. The 1769-L33ERMOS also has an access door to allow access to the controllers Controller mode toggle switch, Controller memory card socket, Controller USB port, Controller reset button and Power supply fuse circuitry. The controller is shipped in Remote Program mode. The enclosure access door may be removed by loosening the Four (4) captive screws in the front of the enclosure. Lift the door and rotate from the pivot at the lower left of the corner. The door does not detach to the controller. The 1769-L33ERMOS is provided with a dual Ethernet communication port that support 10/100 Mbps. The dual Ethernet interface supports Device Level Ring (DLR), Star and Linear topology. DLR is a fault tolerant system used in higher critical applications while Star and Linear topologies are simplex communication topology with single communication path. This topology is used in less critical applications. When wiring the M12 D-Code patchcords, termination assignments are Pin 1 M12_Tx+ ,Pin 2 M12_Rx+, Pin 3 M12_Tx, Pin 4 M12_Rx, Pin 5 Connector Shell Shield GND. The 1769-L33ERMOS functions similarly to a Standard CompactLogix controller. It is capable of executing 32 tasks with 100 programs per task. It allows up to 256 controller connections and maximum of 32 sockets. It has a built-in 2MB standard user memory, 1 MB safety memory and 1GB non-volatile memory via the removable 1769-SD1 memory card. The controller is also capable of motion controller and supports up to Eight (8) motion control axes. The controllers integrated safety capability allows the unit to be used in application that require SIL 3 or Performance Level (e) application where de-energized state is the considered safe-state.
