The 1769-L32C processor module is an Allen-Bradley manufactured ControlNet processor module. It is mostly used with small and midsized industrial applications. This compact Logix unit comes with a memory capacity of 750 KB. It can support up to 16 I/O modules at a time with 3 I/O banks and 2 expansion cables. For local networks and communication, the processor unit is equipped with an RS-232 port, NAP, and Control Net channel A. These network ports offer high-speed data transmission. The 1769-L32C processor module is powered with a replaceable battery. The front of the processor has 6 LED indicators that are the “RUN,” “FORCE,” “BATT,” “I/O,” “OK,” and “DCH0” LEDs. The processor runs with a backplane current of 650 milliamps at 5 Volts DC and 40 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. This Series A device is listed with the cULus standard and it comes with a CE mark.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-L32C processor module uses a 22-16 AWG cable for connections. The copper wire used to make the connections on the processor module must have a temperature rating of 90 degrees Celsius. The 1769-L32C processor module is compact in size with dimensions of 8 x 8 x 5 inches and it weighs 2 pounds. This ControlNet processor module can be mounted by using a DIN rail mounting base. The processor dissipates 4.21 Watts of energy as heat during regular operation. The operating temperature of the environment where the processor module is installed should be between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and the storage temperature range should be -40 to +85 degrees Celsius. The processor is immune to surge transients and radiated RF.
