About 1769-L30ERMK
The 1769-L30ERMK is a 5370 L3 CompactLogix controller that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This controller is an essential component of the Programmable Automation Controller (PLC) as it is responsible for logic execution and communication handling from controlling devices and I/O modules installed within the same backplane. This controller is capable of implementing digital and analog control and designed with a conformally coated protection which allows the device to be installed in harsh environments such as highly humid, highly corrosive, varying temperatures and high number of contaminants in the surrounding air. The 1769-L30ERMK is also designed with an integrated Motion control capability over Ethernet I/P. It is compatible for use with Kinetix 350, Kinetix 5700, Kinetix 6500, and PowerFlex 755 where up to Sixteen (16) drives may be connected in Four (4) axes. The controller supports definition of Axis_Virtual Axis and Axis_CIP Drive. All Kinetix drives may be configured with the controller for Position, Velocity and Torqe loop while the PowerFlex drive may be configured for Position, Velocity, Torque loops and Frequency control. The 1769-L30ERMK controllers, through the dual Ethernet communication port may be used to communicate with other controllers such as 1756 ControlLogix, 1756 GuardLogix, CompactLogix 5370, 1768-L4x CompactLogix, 1769-L3x CompactLogix, 1769-L23x CompactLogix, 1789 SoftLogix 5800, 1794 FlexLogix, PowerFlex with DriveLogi, 1785 PLC-5, 1747 SLC, 1761 MicroLogix, 1762 MicroLogix, 1763 MicroLogix, and 1764 MicroLogix. Communication with fellow controllers is popularly known as inter-controller communication where data from one controller may be sent for controlling and monitoring of the receiving controller. This is applicable for use with legacy devices that need to be connected to modern control system without installing or replacing the old devices with Remote I/O components or newer PLC hardware. The 1769-L30ERMK is a single slot module that is mounted not more than Four (4) modules away from the CompactLogix power supply. It has One (1) USB communication port that may be used to initially downloaded a controllers configuration such as hardware definition along communication settings and IP address. The control also has Dual Ethernet communication interfaces that supports Device Level Ring, Linear and Star topology. This controller is capable of accepting up to Sixteen (16) Ethernet nodes.
