About 1769-L30ERM

The Allen Bradley product with catalog number 1769-L30ERM is a CompactLogix 5370 L3 Controller. This controller features embedded communication ports such as Dual Ethernet communication port, One (1) USB communication port, integral 1MB volatile user memory and 1GB non-volatile memory that ships with controller. This controller belongs to the Allen-Bradleys Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) devices. The 1769-L30ERM is designed with integrated motion capability, capable of motion control applications over Ethernet via Four (4) axes support. The motion control capability allows the controller to implement simple and complex motion control systems, particularly compatibility with drives such as Kinetix 350, Kinetix 6500, PowerFlex 755 and other drives. This controller does not include embedded input and output channels however, it supports installation of up to Eight (8) 1769 Compact I/O modules that may function as the controllers local I/O modules. It Through the embedded Ethernet communication port, Distributed I/O system may be implemented such as connection to POINT I/O Ethernet adapters as well as Flex I/O Ethernet communication adapters. The embedded communication port of the 1769-L30ERM is a single USB 1.0 port which is primarily used to initially download starting or base configuration of the controller. The controller is also provided with Two (2) Ethernet terminal which may be connected to a redundant ethernet network, linear and traditional star topologies. These Ethernet ports support 10/100 Mbps communication speed with maximum limit of 100 meters pf communication line which may be extended with the use of additional ethernet switches or conversion using wireless or fiber optic links. It may also be used to interface with programming workstations to perform program upload and download. The Ethernet ports of this controller supports up to sixteen (16) Ethernet nodes. The controller supports Relay ladder, Structured Text, Function block and SFC programming languages which are majority of the standard programming languages dictated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC-61131-3) standard for programming. The controller has a current draw of 500mA at 5VDC controller power and 225 mA at 24VDC controller power. The controllers power dissipation is 4.5W. It is compatible for use with 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, 1769-PB4 CompactLogix power supplies with a power supply distance rating of Four (4). The controller is built with a Real-Time Clock (RTC) with accuracy that varies according to the surrounding temperature. At 0 C (32 F), the RTC is -143+42 s/mo, at 25 C (77 F) the accuracy is -78+91 s/mo, at 40 C (104 F) the accuracy is -101+73 s/mo and at 60 C (140 F) the accuracy is 204-4.50 s/mo. RTC hold up times are 40 days for 0 C (32 F), 35 days for 25 C (77 F), 28 days for 40 C (104 F) and 16 days for 60 C (140 F).
The Allen-Bradley 1769-L30ERM is a CompactLogix controller that belongs to the 5370 L3 CompactLogix family. This controller has 1 Mbyte memory, Dual Ethernet communication port and One (1) USB port. This controller has an integrated motion capability over Ethernet supporting up to Four (4) axes.
