About 1769-L30ER-NSE

The 1769-L30ER-NSE is a 5370 L3 CompactLogix controller that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This industrial electronic device is a Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) used for implementing automation of small to medium industrial applications. The 1769-L30ER-NSE is especially designed for application that require residual energy of the device to be completely depleted or within a specified level before moving the controller into or out of the system. Specifically, a residual energy of 200 _J or fewer before the controller is allowed to be transported. With the 1769-L30ER-NSE, the residual energy may be depleted by turning off the power to the chassis. Wait until the controllers OK status indicator change from Green to Solid RED to off. Allow Fifteen (15) minutes for the energy to decrease and become less than or equal 200 _J. It is important that this is manually timed by the user as there is no visual indicator provided to monitor the residual energy level. The controller is provided with an embedded 1 MB volatile user memory and an integrated 1GB Secure Digital (SD) memory card that functions as the non-volatile memory. Should the memory allocation of the SD card is insufficient, it may be replaced with 1769-SD2 which has 2GB memory capacity. The SD cards main function is to automatically load user data and program data to the controller volatile memory. This is done to avoid unwanted stoppage of the system due to loss of necessary user and program data as the embedded 1MB volatile memory depends on the internal energy storage charge to maintain contents. Should this event happens, the absence of the SD card will prevent automatic recover however, with the card installed and properly configured, the SD card automatically reloads the data when the controller is power cycled. When mounting the 1769-L30ER-NSE, minimum clearance requirement on all sides of the controller is 50 mm or 2 inches. Following this space requirement allows cooling air and exhaust air to flow in and out of the controller. This prevents electronic components from overheating for continuous and uninterrupted function of the controller. The Power supply distance rating requirement of the 1769-L30ER-NSE is Four (4). This requirement suggests that the controller must be installed not more than Four (4) modules away from the power supply. Compatible Power supplies for use with this controller are 1769-PA2, 1769-PB2, 1769-PA4, and 1769-PB4. This controller has One (1) USB communication port and Two (2) Ethernet communication port. The dual ethernet ports uses Cat5 or Cat6 cable with RJ45 connector. The ports support communication speed of 10/100 Mbps with a maximum distance of 100 m.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-L30ER-NSE is a CompactLogix controller that belongs to the 5370 L3 CompactLogix family. This controller has 1 Mbyte memory, Dual Ethernet communication port and One (1) USB port. This controller is designed for applications where the residual energy must be depleted prior to transporting into or out of the application.

F.A.Q for 1769-L30ER-NSE

Q: 1. What is the difference between the 1769-L30ER and the 1769-L30ER-NSE?A: The 1769-L30ER and 1769-L30ER-NSE has typical specification except that the 1769- L30ER-NSE is intended for applications that require residual energy to be fully drained before moving the controller.
Q: 2. Can I replace the 1769-SD1 with an ordinary SD card?A: No, it is not recommended and operation is not guaranteed when used with 3rd party SD cards.
Q: 3. How many 1769 Compact I/O module does the 1769-L30ER-NSE support?A: The 1769-L30ER-NSE supports up to Eight (8) 1769 Compact I/O modules.

PDFsupply Tech

The 1769-L30ER-NSE is a CompactLogix 5370 L3 controller with 1MB memory and dual Ethernet communication port. This controller is the entry level unit within the 5370 L3 Product family with very similar specification to the 1769-L30ER. However, the 1769-L30ER-NSE is especially designed for applications that require residual voltage fully drained before transporting into or out of the application.
