About 1769-L24ER-QB1B

The Allen-Bradley L24ER-QB1B is a CompactLogix controller. This controller belongs to the 5370 L2 CompactLogix product family that is designed to provide automation solution of small to medium application in the factory or process automation industry. This controller offers cost-effective and economical advantage to any user as this compact design of this controller is able to fit into tight panel spaces while the control and integration capability of the controller features advanced functionality. The controllers memory amounts to 750 Kbytes volatile memory however, the controller comes with a 1769-SD1 Secure Digital Card with 1GB memory that serves as the non-volatile memory. Volatile memory is a controller memory area that loses contents when the energy that maintains it loses charge or fails. Non-volatile memory is a memory area that is capable of maintaining its contents without any external charge. The volatile memory is maintained by the internal energy storage circuit that replaces the need of a Lithium battery. The 1769-SD1 card may be used to burn the user program and program data to allow the controller to automatically load the program from the SD card to the embedded user memory or simply, transfer data from non-volatile to volatile memory. The SD card serves as a protection layer such that in the case of energy storage failure, user program and program data will be retained. The embedded communication port includes dual Ethernet communication port that supports Device level Ring (DLR), Traditional Star and Linear topologies. Device Level Ring is a fault-tolerant communication topology which features automatic re-routing of data to the active communication path when the primary path fails. Linear topology is a simple straight forward topology that when one communication path fails, communication is lost. Traditional star is a topology with a central hub where data is forwarded. The embedded communication port supports 10/100 Mbps communication speed with a theoretical distance of 100 m which may be extended to longer distances with the use of additional ethernet switch or conversion to wireless of fiber optic link. The other communication port which is a USB 1.0 port allows initial download of configuration however, it cannot be used for communication to visualization systems. The embedded input channels amount to Sixteen (16) 24VDC sink input channels that is compatible for interfacing mechanical and electrical switching devices such as limit switches, magnetic reed switches, auxiliary contacts. This controller also has Sixteen (16) 24VDC sourcing output channels capable of energizing 24VDC electrical loads such as solenoid actuated devices, pilot lamps, siren, horn, buzzer and other similar devices.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-L23ERM-QB1B is a CompactLogix controller that belongs to the 5370 L2 CompactLogix family. This controller has embedded Sixteen (16) 24VDC input, Sixteen (16) 24VDC output, 768 Kbytes memory, and Dual Ethernet communication port and One (1) USB port.
