The 1769-IF4XOF2F is compatible for use with MicroLogix 1500 and CompactLogix controllers. With MicroLogix controller, the 1769-IF4XOF2F is installed after the MicroLogix base unit. With 1769 Compact I/O, the module may be installed as a local I/O module or expansion I/O module installed to an expansion I/O bank. The 1769-IF4XOF2F may be used to interface analog measuring instruments such as transmitters that measures any process variable, signal converters, isolators, indicators, recorders and other similarly operating devices. Each of the modules channel is designed to receive nominal signal inputs of 0-20mA and 4-20 mA Current signals and 10V DC, 0 -10V DC, 0-5V DC, 1-5V DC Voltage signals while the module can accept current signal ranges of 0-21 mA; 3.2 - 21 mA and voltage signal ranges of 10.5V DC, -0.510.5V DC, -0.55.25V DC, 0.55.25V DC. To control modulating devices or Final Control Element (FCE) such Valves with positioner, Variable Frequency Drives, and re-transmit signals to receiving elements such as indicators and recorders, the 1769-IF4XOF2F is capable of sending analog output signals such as 0-20mA and 4-20 mA current signals and 10V DC, 0 -10V DC, 0-5V DC, 1-5V DC Voltage signals. Analog input channels convert the received analog input signals to digital data via the built-in successive approximation converter circuit. Data conversion has a resolution of 14 bits or unipolar and 14 bits plus sign or bipolar, The input channel has an overall accuracy of 0.15% full scale at 25 C for Voltage terminal and 0.2% full scale at 25 C for Current terminal. Analog output channels are provided with digital to analog converter circuit with conversion rate of 1 ms and step response of 2.0 ms. The output channels resolution is 13 bits unipolar, 13 bits plus sign bipolar with an overall accuracy of 0.2% full scale at 25 C. Calibration is not required.
