The 1769-BOOLEAN module is a compact combination of a sinking input module and a source output module that employs Boolean control. This hybrid module has been manufactured and distributed by Allen-Bradley. This module includes a 24 Volts DC input and output power source that can be used to expand the connectivity of different devices. This module is able to control output devices by using Boolean expressions, and these consist of simple logical combinations of the module hardware input states and the soft inputs that are controlled by the program. The Allen-Bradley 1769-BOOLEAN compact combination module can be configured by using the delay and duration settings and it can also interrupt the system controller on these inputs and outputs.
The Allen-Bradley 1769-BOOLEAN compact combination module with sinking inputs and source outputs comes with a bus lever, an upper and lower mounting tab, stationary bus connectors, an upper and lower DIN rail, and a removable terminal block with a finger-safe cover. The Allen-Bradley 1769-BOOLEAN compact combination module includes LED indicators that show the status of the inputs and outputs. All the input circuits of this module are isolated from the output circuits. If single ground applications are used by connecting the IN DC COM and the OUT DC COM terminals, the isolation between the inputs and outputs will be eliminated. The outputs of this module can be controlled through Boolean expressions. This module needs to be mounted on a grounding surface, preferably a metal panel.
