About 1769-AENTR
The Allen-Bradley module with bulletin number 1769-AENTR is a CompactLogix Redundant Ethernet communication module. This module is used to implement Device Level Ring (DLR) for detecting, managing, and recovering from single faults in a ring-based network. Communication is automatically shifted to the secondary communication path when the primary communication line fails. The 1769-AENTR may be used with a wide variety of devices, communication modules and connectivity products that support DLR as well as linear topology. It may also be used to connect with OPC servers, gateways, protocol converters and other devices. The 1769-AENTR supports data transmission speed of 10/100 Mbps with auto-negotiation capability. It supports up to 128 Logix communication connections and 96 TCP/IP communication connections via the modules Two (2) Ethernet RJ45 Category 5ports using RJ45 connector according to IEC 60603-7, 2 or 4 pair Category 5e minimum cable according to TIA 568-B.1 or Category 5 cable according to ISO/IEC 24702. The 1769-AENTR carries certification from c-UL-us specifically UL Listed Industrial Control Equipment, certified for US and Canada. See UL File E322657. UL Listed for Class I, Division 2 Group A,B,C,D Hazardous Locations, certified for U.S. and Canada. See UL File E334470. It also has certification from CE for European Union 2004/108/EC EMC Directive, compliant with: EN 61326-1; Meas./Control/Lab., Industrial Requirements EN 61000-6-2; Industrial Immunity EN 61000-6-4; Industrial Emissions EN 61131-2; Programmable Controllers (Clause 8, Zone A & B). The 1769-AENTR has an embedded diagnostic web page which allows the user to monitor the adapters network settings, ethernet statistics and I/O connections. Specifically, it can display Ring Status which includes Network Topology, Network Status, Ring Supervisor, Beacon Interval and Beacon Timeout. It also capable of displaying System Resource Utilization used for monitoring the Current percent CPU utilization for the module. Other parameters that the embedded web page can monitor include CIP Connection Statistics and TCP Connections (CIP). The 1769-AENTR may be provided with an IP address using the BootP-DHCP utility by Rockwell Automation.
