About 1734D-IA8XOW8S

The Allen-Bradley product with catalog number 1734D-IA8XOW8S is a POINTBlock I/O device. This module is a combination Input and output module with Eight (8) AC input channels and Eight (8) Relay output channels in Form A, Normally Open contacts or Single Pole Single Throw (SPST) configuration. POINTBlock I/O are cost effective alternative in implementing a modular Remote I/O or Distributed I/O application. This platform is technically a compact version of POINT I/OÕs DeviceNet adapter 1734-PDN and Discrete AC input modules and Relay Output modules. It supports installation of up to Twelve (12) additional POINT I/O modules or up to 64 I/O points. All POINTBlock I/O products, including the 1734D-IA8XOW8S have integrated DeviceNet interface that supports communication speed of 125K, 250K or 500K bits/second. The DeviceNet interface conforms to the ODVA standard. The 1734D-IA8XOW8S input channels is compatible with 120VAC voltage signals with effective range of 85-132VAC along an input frequency of 47-63 Hz. The minimum ON state voltage 65VAC and a maximum OFF state voltage of 43VAC. The POINTBlock I/O device has a nominal input impedance 17.0k½ with fixed and configurable input delay time of 20ms, hardware fixed plus 0-65ms user configurable input delay for OFF to ON and ON to OFF transitions. The relay output channels are Form A contacts, which may also be referred to as Normally Open (N.O.) contacts or Single Pole, Single Throw (SPST) switch. The output channels are compatible for a variety of output voltage ranges such as 5-30V dc at 2.0A resistive load; 48V dc at 0.5A resistive load; 125V dc at 0.25A resistive load; 125V ac at 2.0A resistive load and 240V ac at 2.0A resistive load. At rated power, the output current of the moduleÕs channels are 2A @ 5-30V dc; 0.5A @ 48Vdc; 0.25A @ 125V dc; 2A @ 125V ac and 2A @ 240V ac for resistive loads and 2.0A steady state @ 5-30V dc, L/R - 7ms; 0.5A steady state @ 48V dc, L/R = 7ms; 0.25A steady state @ 125V dc, L/R = 7ms; 2.0A steady state, 15A make @ 125V ac;PF = cos _ = 0.4 and 2.0A steady state, 15A make @ 240V ac, PF = cos _ = 0.4 for Inductive loads. The 1734D-IA8XOW8SÕs Output channel power ratings have different values depending on the type of load connected to the output channel. This includes 250W max for 125V ac resistive loads; 480W max for 240V ac resistive loads; 60W max for 28.8V dc resistive loads; 24W max for 48V dc resistive loads; 31W max for 125V dc resistive loads; 250VA max for 125V ac inductive loads; 480VA max for 240V ac inductive loads; 60VA max for 28.8V dc inductive loads; 24VA max for 48V dc inductive loads and 31VA max for 125V dc inductive loads. This module has One (1) Module Status; One (1) Network Status; Sixteen (16) yellow I/O status indicators wherein Eight (8) LED indicators are used for the individual input channels and another Eight (8) LED are intended for the output channels.
The Allen-Bradley 1734D-IA8XOW8S is a POINTBlock combination module. This module has Eight (8) 85-132VAC, 47-63Hz input channels and Eight (8) Relay output channels. It has an integrated DeviceNet communication interface and a wiring block that uses spring clamp connections.
