About 1734D-IA8XOA8S

The 1734D-IA8XOA8S is a POINTBlock I/O that functions as AC combination module. This module is manufactured by Allen-Bradley that is designed with Eight (8) 120VAC input channels and Eight (8) 120VAC output channels. I/O channels are operable at Voltage ranges of 85-132VAC along frequency of 47-63Hz. A POINTBlock system is technically a POINT I/O system composed of packaged or combination of POINT I/O modules. As to the 1734D-IA8XOA8S, this POINTBlock module is composed of Two (2) 1734 AC input module, Two (2) 1734 AC output module and 1734-PDN DeviceNet communication adapter. Only DeviceNet communication is supported by POINTBlock modules. POINTBlock I/O system may be used as an alternative to POINT I/O system as the POINBlock I/O supports a limited number of installation wherein up to Twelve (12) POINT I/O modules may be installed or up to 64 I/O channels. This is ideal for small scale expansion to save costs while achieving the same expansion capability. POINTBlock I/O system are directly mounted to a DIN rail. The moduleÕs body and the installation DIN rail provides the necessary grounding connection. Use DIN rail that is made of good conductive material that may not be easily affected by oxidation and corrosion. POINTBlock I/O system may be used as remote I/O systems for Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) components especially the Logix controller platform particularly CompactLogix and ControlLogix. Communication to these controllers or scanners is established via the embedded DeviceNet communication interface which supports 125K, 250K or 500K bits/second. With the DeviceNet communication, the local data map of the 1734D-IA8XOA8S may be treated as local I/O, allowing integration to controller logic to implement the necessary automation. The integrated DeviceNet also supports AutoBaud configuration for automatic detection of communication settings without manually the need for manual configuration. The 1734D-IA8XOA8S POINTBlock I/O supports input characteristics such as Change-of-State (COS), Cyclic and polled. Change of State (COS) is commonly used in fast application particularly high-speed positioning control of conveyors and carriages. COS allows immediate processing of input once a signalÕs change of state is detected including relevant logic connection without waiting for the controller to finish the standard logic execution cycle. The Polled I/O setting regularly polls the input channel, depending on the defined polling time while the cyclic setting monitors and execute the logic based on the standard logic execution cycle. The 1734D-IA8XOA8S has One (1) Module Status; One (1) Network Status; Sixteen (16) yellow I/O which consists of Eight (8) Discrete Input and Eight (8) Discrete Output status indicators. These status indicators provide local indication of the moduleÕs operation that may be used as reference to aid in troubleshooting of the device. Other parameters of the 1734D-IA8XOA8S include Power Dissipation of 2.0W maximum @ 24V dc and Power Consumption of 8.2W maximum @ 24V dc. The POINTBlock I/O field Power Bus voltage range is 10-28.8VDC with nominal supply voltage of 24VDC and maximum of 10A. It has a physical dimension of 3.00H x 2.36W x 5.25L or 76.2 Hx 60.0W x 133.4L.
The Allen-Bradley 1734D-IA8XOA8S is a POINTBlock combination module. This module has Eight (8) 120VAC input channels and Eight (8) 120VAc output channels. It has an integrated DeviceNet communication interface and a wiring block that uses spring clamp connections.
