The Allen-Bradley 1734-VTM is an Allen-Bradley product that be longs to the POINT I/O product family. This module is a Voltage Terminal Module with Eight (8) Voltage output terminals. This module is ideally used to centralized, simplify or managed signal wiring of any POINT I/O rack. This 1734-VTM is installed to a compatible Terminal Base unit or Terminal Base Assembly. Compatible assembly units are 1734-TB or -TBS wiring base assembly. Both catalog numbers are Terminal Base Assembly that includes a mounting base a removable terminal block with screw and spring clamp connection. The moduleÕs Filed wiring terminals are Terminal 0 for Voltage Out1; Terminal 1 for Voltage Out 2; Terminal 3 for Voltage Out3; Terminal 4 for Voltage Out 4; Terminal 5 for Voltage Out5; Terminal 6 for Voltage Out 6; and Terminal 7 for Voltage Out7. The 1734-VTM supports sinking or sourcing wiring configuration and can be used with 2-wire or 3-wire signal sources. The input supply voltage range of this Voltage Terminal Module is 10-28.8VDC or 120/240VDC with output current rating of 2A per point or maximum of 4A per module. When installing to a mounting base, the keyswitch position requirement is switch position 5.The physical dimension of the 1734-VTM are 2.2 for Height; 0.47 for Width; 2.97 for Length. The 1734-VTM has an open-rated type of enclosure. This means that the module, along any other POINT I/O module must be installed within an enclosure that is capable of preventing foreign material and contaminants from damaging the module. The module must be protected from water jets or water splash as well as from dust, dirt, grease and any other materials that may damage the module. The temperature within the panel must be maintained within an operating temperature range of -20 to 55¡C or -4 to 131¡F with maximum surrounding air temperature of 55¡C. Installation of climate control device is encouraged to maintain the temperature. Additionally, the thermal dissipation of each POINT I/O module must be considered when selecting climate control systems. If module is stored to act as a spare unit, store the module to an environment with a temperature range of -40 to 85¡C (-40 to 185¡F). Mechanical disturbance may also be installed to limit vibration and shock as the moduleÕs operating vibration and shock ratings are 5g at 10-500Hz per IEC 60068-2-6 standard and 30g peak acceleration per IEC 60068-2-27 standard. When establishing connections to the 1734-VTM, use Solid or Stranded Copper wire with size range of 14 AWG (2.5mm2 ) - 22 AWG (0.25mm2 ). Is used with a screw clamp Removable Terminal Block (RTB), strip the end wires and use ferrules or wire lugs to secure connection. If used with a spring clamp terminal, strip the wire appropriately and insert the wire directly to the terminal. The spring mechanism will hold the wire into place. It is also recommended to use a wire with insulation rating of 75¡C or greater and insulation thickness of 3/64 inch (1.2mm). For screw clamp terminals, tighten the connection up to 7 pound-inches (0.8Nm).
