About 1734-TOPS
The 1734-TOPS is an Allen-Bradley product that belongs to the 1734-POINT I/O product family. This Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) hardware is a terminal base unit, used to provide POINT I/O module installation location and signal wire connection point. This hardware is composed of a DIN Rail locking screw, Handle, Wiring Block, Interlocking side pieces and mechanical keying. The primary function of the 1734-TOPS is to provide wire connection point via the Twelve (12) spring clamp terminals and provide POINT I/O module installation area where a POINT I/O module is seated and locked by the handle. It also has the mechanical keying which is a rotary switch, designed to match the POINT I/O moduleÕs required keyswitch position. This mechanical keying provides a fool proof module installation which does not allow the module to be installed if the keyswitch is not in correct position. A DIN rail locking screw is also provided to secure the moduleÕs attachment to the DIN rail.
