The 1734-TOP is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This catalog number is a single unit terminal base, used to provide mounting location for a POINT I/O module and signal wires. The main functionality of the terminal base is to provide module mounting location. By providing this installation area, the module is able to connect to the POINT I/O Bus where it can draw the necessary bus current to energize the moduleÕs circuitry. The same POINT I/O Bus serves as the connection highway where data exchange happens, specifically, data from the POINT I/O module to the 1734 communication adapter and vice versa. The 1734-TOP has Eight (8) termination points with screw-clamp connections.
