The 1734-TBSQ10 is an Allen-Bradley product that belongs to the POINT I/O product family. The RTB allows connection via the spring clamp terminals. The spring clamp terminals provide an increased susceptibility to vibration and shock compared to screw type terminals which tend to loosen over time when exposed to constant vibration and shock. Additionally, spring clamp terminals do not require the use of ferrules or lugs when terminating wires. The wires are only stripped following the required strip lengths of 16±1 mm or 0.63±0.03 in for 1 wire and 18±1 mm or 0.71±0.03 in for 2 wire connections. The installed spring automatically holds the wire in place. Installation of signal wires are much simpler as it requires lesser tools. Only wire stripper and small flat head screwdriver is required. Use Solid or Stranded copper wire to serve as signal and command line. Appropriate wire size range is 0.25-2.5 mm_ or 22-14 AWG. The signal wireÕs insulation must be able to withstand at least a minimum of 75 ¡C or 167 ¡F or higher The mounting base is used to provide installation location for the POINT I/O module. Aside from the installation base, it also has the mechanical keying which is referred to as the keyswitch. This keyswitch is a rotatable key that must be set in line with the moduleÕs keyswitch position requirement. A mounting base with an improperly set keyswitch will not allow the module to be installed. The mounting base also has the interlocking pins which allow adjacent module to connect to it to form and extend the POINT I/O bus. The POINT I/O bus distributes the requirement current draw of each module installed along the 1734 rack.
