About 1734-TBQ10

The 1734-TBQ10 is an Allen-Bradley product. This catalog number belongs to the POINT I/O product family that represents a box or packaged of items that may be purchased in bulk via the 1734-TBQ10 part number. The 1734-TBQ10 pertains to a collective amount of Ten (10) 1734-TB which is a POINT I/O Terminal Base Assembly. Each 1734-TB3 has subcomponents, specifically a 1734 mounting base and 1734-RTB which is a Removable Terminal Block (RTB). In detail, the 1734-TBQ10 is composed of Ten (10) 1734-TB or Ten (10) 1734-RTB and Ten (10) mounting base. Packaged components are ideally purchased for large control system wherein 10 or more units of the packaged products are needed. It may also be considered purchased even if lower units of the packaged products are needed with an intention to keep the extra units for spare. The advantage that the 1734-TBQ10 offers is that it simplifies ordering information. It saves any user the effort of listing down and repeating part numbers of the components that make up the POINT I//O package. The 1734-TBQ10 also contribute to cost effectiveness as packaged items costs less. The mounting base that is included in the 1734-TBQ10 allows a compatible POINT I/O module to be installed and connect to the POINT I/O backplane. Only One (1) POINT I/O module can be accommodated by the mounting base. Once a POINT I/O module is installed to the mounting base, connection to the backplane is automatically established as the mounting base has the connection pins where the POINT I/O bus is distributed. Through the same connection pins, data exchange between other modules including the 1734 Communication adapter is actively executed. The mounting base is also provided with a rotary mechanical key. This key refers to the Keyswitch position of the POINT I/O module. This keyswitch must match the required keyswitch position of the module as indicated in the user manual and installation description. It provides a fool proof installation as a module cannot be installed without the appropriate switch position set. The Ten (10) 1734-RTB Removable Terminal Blocks (RTB) has Eight (8) cage clamp terminals and RTB removal handle. The RTB allows field wiring connection to be terminated to the appropriate POINT I/O module channel. Use Solid or Stranded copper wire to serve as signal and command line. Appropriate wire size range is 0.25-2.5 mm_ or 22-14 AWG. The signal wireÕs insulation must be able to withstand at least a minimum of 75 ¡C or 167 ¡F or higher. Insulation thickness must compliant to the required thickness 1.2mm or 3/64 inches. The RTB is designed for direct connection of wires without the need of ferrules or lugs. The RTBÕs wire strip requirement are 14±1 mm or 0.55±0.03 if single wire is used or 16±1 mm or 0.63±0.03 in if 2 wire is used. Wire connection to the RTB is established with the use of a flat head screwdriver. Do not use a screwdriver with bigger head or exactly the same size as the opening instead, use a screwdriver with smaller head size. Insert the screwdriver while simultaneously applying firm pressure in rocking motion to disengage the RTBÕs locking mechanism and to create an opening for the stripped part of the wire to pass through. Once the wire is inserted, release the screwdriver to re-engage the clamp. This locks the wire into place and makes it more susceptible to vibration and shock.
The Allen-Bradley 1734-TBQ10 is a POINT I/O Terminal Base assembly in quantities of Ten (10). This assembly is composed of Ten (10), Eight (8) screw cage terminals and Ten (10) mounting base, along with the individual locking mechanisms and RTB handles.
