About 1734-OV2E

The 1734-OV2E is a POINT I/O discrete output module. This module has Two (2) sinking output channels. Output modules that support sink wiring configuration may be referred to as negative logic modules that is, the negative (-) wire is connected to the moduleÕs channels while the positive (+) serves as the common wire. Sink logic provides a grounded connection to the load. The 1734-OV2E is manufactured by Rockwell Automation under the 1734-POINT I/O product family. The 1734-OV2E and the entire POINT I/O platform are Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) or Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) compatible components used for implementing a cost-effective and highly scalable Distributed I/O architecture. Up to 63 1734-OV2E may be installed in One (1) POINT I/O rack provided that the rack is installed with system expansion power supplies. It may also be used along any other module of the POINT I/O platform, depending on the requirement. The 1734-OV2E has Two (2) sinking output channels, that is supplied by an external voltage supply of 24VDC with range of 10-28.8VDC along a supply current of 8 mA. Minimum ON state voltage of each channel is 10VDC while the maximum ON state voltage is 28.8VDC at minimum current of 1.0 mA per channel. The output channels exhibits signal delays for both ON to OFF and OFF to ON transition with delay times of 0.1 ms. The moduleÕs aggregate current output is 2.0 A or 1.0 A per output channel. Individual channels of the module are internally protected against surge current, with protection rating of 2 A for 10 ms that is repeatable for every 3 s. The moduleÕs POINTBus current requirement is 75mA at 5VDC with power dissipation of 0.8 W @ 28.8V DC and maximum Thermal dissipation of 2.7 BTU/hr @ 28.8V DC. It has an isolation voltage rating of 240V, Basic Insulation Type, tested at 2550V DC for 60 seconds, output to system. The 1734-OV2E comes with status Light Emitting Diode (LED) indicators such as 2 yellow output status 2 red output fault and 2 green/red module/network status. The module is installed to a mounting base or terminal base assembly with catalog number 1734-TB or 1734-TBS wiring base assembly. The mounting base provides connection to the POINTBus backplane to energize the moduleÕs electronic circuitry while the Removable Terminal Block (RTB) provides interface to signal wires to establish connection to electrical loads. The 1734-OV2E is compatible for use with any 1734 communication adapters such as 1734-AENT or Ethernet Adapter, 1734-ACNR or ControlNet adapter, 1734-ADN or DeviceNet and 1734-APB for Profibus communication adapter. Each adapter supports up to Twelve (12) POINT I/O modules, which may be a single type or combination of modules. To install more than 12 modules or up to the maximum 63 modules, install system expansion power supply such as 1734-EP24DC or 1734-EPAC.
