The POINT I/O module with catalog number 1734-OE2C is an analog output module that features Two (2) output channels capable of 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA current signals. This module is used for modulating analog actuators and devices such as valves with positioners, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), indicators, recorders and data loggers. It may also be used with isolators and signal converters. This module is compatible for use with Allen-BradleyÕs Logix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform such as CompactLogix and ControlLogix. It does not communicate directly to these controllers instead, the 1734-OE2C analog output module requires a communication adapter such as Ethernet, ProfiBus, ControlNet, DeviceNet adapters for data exchange. The 1734-OE2C is a single slot, compact and low-density output modules. It is installed to a mounting base to enable the module establish connection to the POINT I/O bus. The module draws 75 mA at 5VDC. This module also requires a Removable Terminal Block (RTB) to provide signal interface and connect the output signal to the devices. Compatible mounting base or terminal base assembly for the module are 1734-TB, 1734-TBS, 1734-TB3, 1734-TB3S,1734-TOP, or 1734-TOPS wiring base assembly. Recommended wire size range is 0.25É2.5 mm2 (22...14 AWG). Use solid or stranded copper wire rated at 75 ¡C (167 ¡F). The moduleÕs required keyswitch is position number 4. The moduleÕs internal digital to analog signal converter has a conversion rate of 16 _s with an output resolution is 13 bits - over 0...21 mA 2.5 _A/cnt (average value - typical range: 2.3...2.7 _A/cnt) in signed integer format. It has an absolute accuracy of 0.1% full scale @ 25 ¡C along an accuracy drift of 30 ppm/¡C. This analog output module is designed with status LED indicators such as One (1) green/red module status indicator, One (1) green/red network status indicator and Two (2) green/red Ð output status for individual channel indications. Module status indicator reports the moduleÕs operation state such as configuration, test mode, calibration mode, recoverable and unrecoverable fault. The network status indicator signifies the moduleÕs communication via the backplane while the I/O status LED indicates the channelÕs activity and individual alarm state. The moduleÕs electrical characteristics includes Power Dissipation of 750 ½ load on each output - 1.23 W 0 ½ load on each output - 1.83 W and Thermal dissipation of 750 ½ load on each output - 4.19 BTU/hr 0 ½ load on each output - 6.24 BTU/hr.
