The Allen-Bradley electronic hardware with catalog number 1734-OB2EP is a POINT I/O module with Two (2) non-isolated sourcing output channels. This module has higher current output rating of 2A per channel or 4A per module. Use this module to energize Pilot Lamps, ON/OFF Valves, Motorized actuators, relays and other discrete devices. With the higher output current capacity, inductive loads may be directly connected to this module. The moduleÕs operating voltage range is 10-28.8VDC with nominal voltage of 24VDC. Each channel has OFF to ON and ON to OFF output signal delay with delay time of 0.1 ms. The module has an electronic surge current protection of 2A, maximum. Provide an external voltage for the output channels with a supply range of 10-28.8VDC with a 8mA supply current. The moduleÕs circuitry is powered via the POINTBus backplane connection rated 75mA. The 1734-OB2EP ais an 8-bit module, with bit 0 assigned to channel 0 and bit 1 assigned to channel 1. It also has an internal short-circuit detection and wire-off or open circuit detection with reporting bit per channel. The 1734-OB2EP is installed to a mounting base with key switch position set to 1, along a Removable Terminal Block (RTB). The mounting base provides the physical and electronic interface to the POINT I/O bus while the RTB provides the field wiring interface, for connection to the filed devices. The entire assembly must be installed to a Yellow Chromated or Zinc Plated DIN rail to ensure continuous ground connection. POINT I/O modules connect to ground by means of the mounting baseÕ connection to the DIN rail. Avoid use of non-conductive or poor conductive DIN rail materials to ensure continuous connection to the grounding system. The 1734-OBE2P has One (1) Module status indicator. When the indicator is OFF, it pertains that no power is applied to the device. When the LED is green, the device is operating normally. Flashing Green implies that device need commissioning or further commissioning while flashing Red implies a recoverable fault. When the LED is in a steady RED light, the module is in a non-recoverable fault. The network status LED reports the device is not online when the LED is OFF, Device is on-line but no connection when the LED is flashing Green, Device is actively communicating when in steady Green. Flashing Red indication refers to a critical link failure while Red and Green flashes pertains to a communication faulted device. The I/O status LED individually reports the activity of each channel, where a Yellow LED light pertains to energized or de-energized channel, Flashing Red means an open circuit detection while Red light means that short circuit is detected.
