The Allen-Bradley 1734-OA2 is an Allen-Bradley manufactured electronic module used as Discrete Output Module. This module is part of the Bulletin 1734 POINT I/O product family. This module features Two (2) sourcing output channels, able to provide 120 / 220 VAC nominal output voltage with operating Voltage range of 85-264VAC at a frequency of 47-63 Hz. Discrete output modules are used to initiate actuation of Final Control Elements (FCE) operating in Two (2) states, ON/OFF or 1 and 0. Such devices include Motors, Motor actuated valves, Pumps, Solenoid actuated valves, relay coils. It may also be used with indicating devices such as Pilot Lamps and sounding devices including buzzer, siren, horn and other similar devices. The 1734-OA2 is a compact, single slot module that installs to the 1734 POINT I/O mounting base. Aside from the mounting base, the module requires a Removable Terminal Block (RTB) for termination of field signal wires, to allow interfacing to the Final Control Elements. This module supports source wiring configuration. With terminal 0 and 1 assigned to the L1 of the load. Terminals 2 and 3 are no connection terminals, Terminals 4 and 5 are L2/N terminals and channel 6 and 7 are assigned for L1 terminals. This module is an 8-bit module however, only Two (2) of the bits within the register is used. Particularly, Bits 0 and 1 are assigned for Channel 0 and Channel 1. Externally, the module is built with Module Status Indicator for reporting via LED light the operational status f the module. The network status LED reports the state of data exchange and partner devices. It also has individual I/O status indicator to report active and inactive state off the channels. The moduleÕs POINTBus current is 75 mA at 5VDC with Power Dissipation of 2 W @ 264V AC and Thermal Dissipation of 6.8 BTU @ 264V AC. The moduleÕs isolation voltage is 240V (continuous), Reinforced Insulation Type tested @ 3250V DC for 60 s, field-side to system. The moduleÕs operating temperature is -20...55 ¡C (-4...131 ¡F) and non-operating temperature of -40...85 ¡C (-40...185 ¡F) with relative humidity of 5...95% noncondensing. The moduleÕs operating vibration is 5g at 10-500 Hz ang operating shock of 30 g. Use appropriate climate control devices to maintain the required temperature within the enclosure. Similarly, install vibration and shock limiting devices to limit the effects of vibration and shock. This module is compatible for use with 1734 Communication adapter such as 1734-AENTR Ethernet, 1734-AND DeviceNet, 1734-ACNR ControlNet and 1734-APB Profibus communications adapters. It may also be used with POINT I/O system expansion power supplies. Install as many 1734-OA2 as required, following the POINT I/O rack limit and System power supply limit.
