The 1734-IR2E is a POINT I/O component module. This point I/O RTD module converts the received resistance signal into a digital data via the internal Delta-Sigma conversion. The converted signal data is stored to a 16-bit register as a Signed Integer. This data is used by the module for implementing channel and module diagnostics to detect signal under and overrange, Very High, High, Low and Very Low alarm and open wire alarm. This internal diagnostic points are also stored in a 16-Bit register which may be used for local monitoring and integration to computer-based control systems such as Human Machin Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS). The module is also designed with local LED indicators to report the moduleÕs operational status, in accordance to the internal diagnostics. Indicators include One (1) green/red Ð module status indicator; One (1) green/red Ð network status indicator; and Two (2) green/red Ð input status indicators. Compatible terminal base for this module are 1734-TB, 1734-TBS, 1734-TOP, or 1734-TOPS. Use conductors with specifications 0.25-2.5 mm2 or 22-14 AWG solid or stranded shielded copper wire rated at 75 ¡C (167 ¡F) or greater 1.2 mm (3/64 in.) insulation. This module has adjustable input update rates of 40 ms @ Notch = 50 Hz; 20 ms @ Notch = 100 Hz; 17 ms @ Notch = 120 Hz; 10 ms @ Notch = 200 Hz; 8 ms @ Notch = 240 Hz; 7 ms @ Notch = 300 Hz; 5 ms @ Notch = 400 Hz; 4 ms @ Notch = 480 Hz with 33 ms @ Notch = 60 Hz as the default configuration.
