The Allen-Bradley 1734-8CFGDLX is a POINT I/O Discrete I/O module. This module has Eight (8) self-configuring input and output channels operating at 24VDC Voltage category. It is a compatible Input and output interface, for use with Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC). It can serve as a standard Input and Output module, interfacing the controller with the field signaling devices and control elements. It also has an integral DeviceLogix capability which enable the module to control its own embedded outputs. This module supports Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP) which is a practical feature for servicing seldomly stopped or shutdown. This module is compatible for use with different POINT I/O communication adapters such as DeviceNEt, Ethernet I/P or ControlNet. If DeviceLogix is utilized, an external controller can influence control to the module by interacting through the communication bus and the installed communication adapter. This is done via a consume assembly and configured using RSNetworx for DeviceNet. Another capability of the embedded DeviceLogix feature a Peer Enable POINT I/O which allows the module to Òlisten inÓ on existing data connection to other POINT I/O modules connected to the POINT I/O backplane. Consumable data can reach up to Eight (8) different peers with each peer allocated for 24 Bytes of data each. It can be a mixture of digital and 16-bit analog data. The 1734-8CFGDLX automatically crates input and output tags when configured. Input tags include Data, LogicDefinedData, Status, LogicEnabled, Status, LogicEnabled, Owned, PeerMissing, LogicDefinedIntData. Output tags include Data, LogicDefinedData and LogicDefinedIntData. Input channels have a minimum ON state voltage of 11VDC, maximum OFF state voltage of 5VDC with a minimum ON state current of 2.0mA and maximum ON state current of 5.0 mA. Input channels are provided with individual input filter settings, typically used for rejecting noises that may be interpreted as a false negative or False positive reading. Minimum OFF to ON filter time is 0 ms and maximum OFF to ON filter time is 65535 ms while minimum ON to OFF filter time is 0 ms and ON to OFF is 65535 ms. Each input is separately configured in 1 ms interval. Similarly, Output channels have minimum ON state voltage range of 10VDC and maximum ON state voltage of 28.8 VDC while the nominal ON state voltage is 24VDC. The ON state voltage drop is rated at 0.4VDC with a maximum ON state current of 0.5 A and maximum OFF state leakage current of 0.5 mA. The moduleÕs maximum total current is 3.0A.
