The 1760-MM2 module is a memory module that has been designed to operate with Pico controllers from the 1760 series of Pico controllers by Allen-Bradley. This module has been included in the 1760 Pico controllers series as a spare part and it is intended to enhance the performance of Pico controllers from this series. Pico controllers can be programmed through ladder programs and with a PC. Memory modules are used to store the required files and some of the logic that needs to be used by the Pico controller to operate properly. The Allen-Bradley 1760-MM2 memory module is mainly used to store circuit diagrams. These circuit diagrams and coils are meant to be created on a hidden grid that contains the contact fields, soil fields, and circuit connections for the controller.
The Allen-Bradley 1760-MM2 Pico controller memory module can be read on the Series B Pico controllers, and these controllers can only write on this memory module. This module is also used to store the texts that are going to be displayed in the Pico controllers that come with a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen. These texts can be triggered by the actual values of function relays such as timing relays, counters, and operating hour counters. All the relevant data, including programs, can be transferred from the Allen-Bradley 1760-MM2 memory module to a Pico controller. This memory is read-only memory when it is used with an active Pico controller and it will not work with Series A Pico controllers. It has a capacity of 32 KB and the information that is stored in it will occupy the non-volatile memory.
