About 1764-LRP

The 1764-LRP is a MicroLogix 1500 Processor. This processor provides the execution capability to the base unit it is installed with. This processor executes the logic via a speed of Controller processing speed is 1 milisecond per 1K of user program. MicroLogix 1500 Controllers are small and compact controllers, compatible for implementing micro and small automation requirements. The 1764-LRP is a modular processor that is separately purchased and capable of being transferred from one base unit to another. The user program is transferred to the processor and stored to the internal memory that amounts to 14KB Words with an internal allocation of 10 KB User Program and 4 KB User Data. The controller can perform data logging with the use of time or event triggered logging. This enables data storage by the controller with optional time stamp in a 48 Kbyte memory area for historization and analysis. The contents of the memory is retained with the use of the integral Lithium battery with replacement part number 1747-BA. The processor is provided with a battery indicator. When the battery low indicator illuminates, it indicates that it will be discharged within Fourteen (14) Days from the first time it displayed if used with 1764-LSP and Seven (7) days if used with 1764-LRP. The processor is communicated via the embedded communication port in the base unit. MicroLogix 1500 controllers has an 8-pin mini DIN communication port supporting DF1 Full-Duplex, DF1 Half-Duplex, DH485, MODBUS RTU Slave, MODBUS RTU master, and ASCII protocol. MODBUS and ASCII is only supported by 1764-LRP series B and later controllers only. The processor support instructions complementing the protocols especially ASCII. ASCII is used for integrating industrial barcode readers typically installed in the production lines for sorting products and identifying information stored in the barcode. Available ASCII instructions are ACL - ASCII Clear Buffer, AWT - ASCII Write, ACI - String to Integer, ACB - Number of Characters in Buffer and many other instructions. The processor supports configuration of Compact I/O modules to serves as expansion modules. Up to 512 I/O can be supported by this processor. The processor can also be configured to implement remote I/O communication via DeviceNet network using 1769-SDN DeviceNet scanner. With the use of the DeviceNet scanner, the controller is enabled to communicate and exchange data with 63 slave devices. Compatible accessory modules are 1764-RTC which is a Real-Time Clock module, 1764-MM1 Memory Module with 8K memory, 1764-MM1RTC with 8K memory and Real-Time Clock, 1764-MM2 with 16K memory, 1764-MM2RTC with 16K memory and Real-Time Clock, 1764-MM3 with 16K memory, and 1764-MM3RTC with 16K memory and Real-Time Clock. Memory modules are used to provide a non-volatile memory, independent of the Lithium battery to retain memory contents. Real-Time Clock are used to implement scheduled execution of user program which in turn schedules energization and actuation of electrical loads. It supports Ladder programming language.
The Allen-Bradley 1764-LRP is a MicroLogix 1500 processor. This processor has 14 KB Words of memory allocated for User Memory of 10 KB and User Program amounting to 4 KB User Data. This processor is installed to the MicroLogix 1500 base unit.
