About 1766-L32BXB

The MicroLogix 1400 controller with part number 1766-L32BXB is an Allen-Bradley product. This is an electronic device, functioning as a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This PLC features a compact assembly with necessary components embedded in a single housing such as power supply, integrated input and output, communication channels, memory, and processor. This controller is especially designed for micro and small processes. The 1766-L32BXB has an integral memory amounting to 20KB that is pre-allocated for 10KB user program and 10KB Program data. This controller is also capable of implementing and managing recipe for batch processes in the food and beverage or manufacturing industry. It also has a 128KB data logging which may be used for storing logs of selected variables. The internal memory depends on the 1747-BA for memory retention. If the battery is discharged and power is removed, the program and contents of the internal memory are lost. The internal memory may be partnered with a non-volatile memory with part number 1766-MM1 which does not require a battery to retain its contents. It may also be designed to automatically load the program from the non-volatile memory to the internal memory every power cycle. This ensures that the user program is always available, contributing to increased uptime and preventing unwanted. The controller also comes with an embedded Real-Time clock. Real-Time clock is typically used to implement schedule processing of logic which in effect, may be used to schedule actuations of device and equipment of the controlled process. This approach is typically implemented in the manufacturing, HVAC, Water and Waste Water applications. The embedded I/O channels are Twelve (12) Fast 24VDC, Eight (8) Normal 24VDC, Six (6) Relay, Three (3) Fast DC and Three (3) Normal DC outputs. Use the fast inputs for interfacing high-speed counter, encoder and metering devices. The high-speed inputs are input channels 0-11. The fast DC inputs may be used to produce pulses similar to pulses of metering instruments. It may also be used to actuate devices that are operated via short pulses. Flash upgrade is initiated via the ethernet port, using ControlFlash Version 13.00 and higher. When performing ControlFlash, ensure that the power supply is stable, communication cables are secured. The 1766-L32BXB is provide with an LCD and keypad assembly. The LCD allows monitoring of I/O status, changing controller mode, Modifying controller settings such as serial and Ethernet communication parameters, Trim potentiometer modification, EEPROM setup and Security. The controller also has multiple communication channels such as One (1) RS232 / RS485 combo communication port, One (1) RS232 port and One (1) Ethernet communication port. Supported protocols over serial communication are DF1 Full-Duplex, DF1 Half-Duplex, DNP3, MODBUS and ASCII protocols. Protocols supported over Ethernet are ethernet I/P, DNP3 and MODBUS.
The Allen-Bradley 1766-L32BXB is a MicroLogix 1400 Controller. This controller is designed for Power Supply input voltage of 24VDC with embedded Twelve (12) Fast 24VDC, Eight (8) Normal 24VDC, Six (6) Relay, Three (3) Fast DC and Three (3) Normal DC outputs. This controller has One (1) isolated RS232 / RS485 combo port, One (1) non-isolated RS232 communication port and One (1) Ethernet communication port.

PDFsupply Tech

The 1766-L32BXB is a MicroLogix 1400 controller that has a total of 32 embedded I/O however, these I/Os come in different varieties such as standard, fast inputs, relay, fast and standard outputs. Compared to the 1766-L32AWA that only has standard input and signal types. The variety of input and output types allows this module to be used in different application types that typically co-exist in an industrial application.
