About 1762SC-OF8

The 1762sc-OF8 is a MicroLogix 1200 expansion module. This module is manufactured by Allen-Bradley encompass partner, Spectrum controls. Encompass partner companies of Allen-Bradley are recognized partners that are certified to create products compatible with existing Allen-Bradley products. This output module is a high-density output module and may be used to replace low density analog output module to meet process control requirements. Each channel support unipolar and bipolar signal output ranges. The 1762sc-OF8 features Eight (8) output channels, selectable for Voltage or Current. This module is compatible for signal ranges 0-5 V, 1-5 V, 0-10 V, ±10 and 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA. The moduleÕs settling time is <1 ms to 63% of full scale and output accuracy is ±20 mV at 25 ¡C; ±50 uA at 25 ¡C. Analog output modules are generally used for implementing modulating control, typically used with Modulating Control Valves, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Positioners, Signal converters and other devices. It may also be used to re-transmit signals for display of analog indicators, recorders, totalizers, isolators among others. The analog output signal is capable of being linked to manual data entry hardware for direct and manual control, similarly it may also be linked to computer-based data entry components. Aside from these manual entry components, the analog output may also be the result of a mathematical equation or compare instructions. In automatic control systems, the analog output is linked to the output of a Proportional + Integral +Derivative (PID) controller to implement automatic and modulating control of devices. This module has a conversion resolution of 16 bits with selectable data formats of Engineering Units, Scaled for PID, Raw / Proportional Data and Percent of Full range. This output module has an embedded LED indicator to display the status of the module. This indicator is a Single Greed LED indicator, that is normally solid lit when the module is in run mode. An improperly configured module has a rapidly blinking LED. Additionally, there are other blink codes used by the module. Factory Calibration in progress is indicated by 3 successive blinks, invalid calibration has 4 successive blinks and 5 successive blinks refer to module is in command mode state. The 1762SC-OF8 carries certification from UL/cUL (Class I, Div 2, Groups ABCD), and CE certifying agencies. The moduleÕs environmental specifications include an operating temperature of -20 ¡C to 60 ¡C (-4 ¡F to 140 ¡F), storage temperature of -40 ¡C to 85 ¡C (-40 ¡F to 185 ¡F) and relative humidity of 5% - 95% (non-condensing). It has thermal dissipation of 4.9 Watts, maximum. Install the analog output module to a DIN rail of directly to the mounting plate. The moduleÕs backplane current requirements are 30 mA at 5 V, 250 mA at 18.7 V, 195 mA at 24 V. The module connects to the MicroLogix bus via the provided ribbon cable which directly attaches to any adjacent MicroLogix expansion module or the controller base.
The Spectrum Controls 1762sc-OF8 is a MicroLogix 1100 / 1200 / 1400 universal analog output module. This module has Eight (8) 0-5 V, 1-5 V, 0-10 V, ±10 Voltage and 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA Current signals.
