This controller is a compact controller type however, capable of implementing automation in different industrial fields such as Material Handling, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Water and Waste Water and other applications. The 1762-L24BWAR supports expansion of up to 136 I/O channels by installing up to Six (6) 1762 MicroLogix Expansion module. This controller features an integrated RS232 / RS485 combo port, latching or pulse catch inputs and Four (4) interrupt inputs. This module also features a dual and individually operated Trim potentiometers for modifying data, simulating values and provide local analog control. The RS232 port supports DH-485, DF1 Full-duplex, DF1 Half-duplex, DF1 Radio Modem, Modbus Master and Slave and ASCII protocol however, it is designed for peer-to-peer communication only. If a networked connection is required particularly daisy chain connection, RS485 configuration may be used. This same port is also used for program upload and download and data messaging. Default settings of the embedded primary channel are 19.2K baud rate, No Parity, Node Address of 1, No Handshaking, and Stop Bits set to 1. As this controller has a suffix R in its catalog number, this devices is equipped with an additional programmer port that has fixed configuration and supports DF1 Full-Duplex communication. Through this port, programming actions may be initiated however, it cannot be used for standard data exchange as the port cannot be used to initiate messages. The high-speed inputs are located at channels 0-3 while standard inputs are the remaining channels. The embedded output channels are normally open contacts with individual common terminals to allow each channel operate at different voltage categories such as 24VDC, 125VDC, 120VAC and 240VAC with continuous current rating of 2.0A, 1.0A and 2.5A, respectively. This controller supports discrete and analog data processing and programmed using ladder programming language. It allows drag-and drop programming operation or manual address input.
