About 1763-L16DWD

The 1761-L16DWD MicroLogix 1100 controllers is an Allen-Bradley manufactured Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This controller features Power Supply Input Voltage of 12/24VDC, along an embedded I/O channel which consists of Ten (10) 12/24VDC discrete inputs, Two (2) 0-10 VDC analog inputs and Six (6) Relay Outputs. Four (4) out of 10 input channels are classified as High-speed input channels, specifically channels 0-3. Up to Four 1762 Expansion I/Os may be attached to the controller. Available expansion modules include Discrete Input, Discrete Output, Analog Input, Analog Output, Combination modules, Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) modules and Thermocouple modules. These expansion modules have different I/O densities, allowing the system to be designed and specifically fited to the automation requirement. when wiring I/O signals, recommended cable size are #12 to #20 AWG for solid wire and #14 to #20 AWG for Stranded wire. Use this wire size if only 1 wire per terminal is being connected. Up to Two (2) wires may be connected to a single terminal however, recommended wire size differs. If 2 wires will be terminated to a single terminal, use wire sizes ranging from #16 to #20 AWG for solid wire and #18 to #20 AWG for stranded wire. Tighten screw applying a Torque of 0.56 Nm (5.0 in-lb). This controller may be mounted to a standard DIN rail or directly to the mounting plate as it is provided with mounting screws. Do not remove the debris cover if installation activities, especially if installation activities above the controller is still present. This will lessen the chances of conductive debris from entering the controller. Remove this debris protector if installation is finished and before powering up the module to allow natural air flow. The controllerÕs height measures 90 mm (3.5 in.), 104 mm (4.09 in.) with DIN latch open while the width and Depth measures 110 mm (4.33 in.), and 87 mm (3.43 in.) respectively. This controller is provided with an LCD along a keypad assembly to allow local configuration of the device. The LCD and keypad set allows an authorized personnel to display the status of I/Os, monitor bit file, monitor integer file, change controller operating mode, system communication parameters such as RS232 and Ethernet parameters, monitor system configuration, and diagnose fault codes. This controller is also provided with trim potentiometers which may be modified via the LCD screen. These trim potentiometers are linked to an integer data file. To modify the Trim Potentiometer value, access the TrimPot setting in the screen, select any of the POT0 and POT1 potentiometers to activate. Press OK when the target potentiometer is selected and enter the maximum and minimum values. The Potentiometer values may be directly entered a well. These trim potentiometers are typically used in program simulation or as a local control and data manipulation interface. This controller has integrated RS232 / RS485 combo interface and an Ethernet communication port. for device communication. These communication interface may be operated individually and communicate with HMI devices, SCADA, 3rd party devices and other components simultaneously.
The 1763-L16DWD is a MicroLogix 1100 Controller. This controller is designed for Power Supply Input Voltage of 12/24VDC with embedded Ten (10) 12/24VDC discrete inputs, Two (2) 0-10 VDC analog inputs, Six (6) Relay Outputs. It has integrated RS232 and Ethernet communication ports for device communication. This controller is configured and programmed with RSLogix 500 programming software.

F.A.Q for 1763-L16DWD

Q: 1. What is the channel allocation of the High-Speed inputs in this controller?A: The High-speed input channels are located at Channel 0-3.
Q: 2. What is the operating frequency of the High-Speed inputs?A: The operating frequency of the high-speed input channel is 0-20kHz and 0-40kHz for OS Series B FRN 4 or later.
Q: 3. Does the input channel support both sinking and sourcing configuration? A: Yes, only DC controller support sinking and sourcing configuration. AC input controller support sourcing configuration only.

The 1763-L16DWD is MicroLogix 1100 DC controller. This controller is energized by a nominal voltage level of 12/24VDC. The discrete input is also compatible for 12/24VDC operation with Four (4) of its channels assigned as High-speed input channels. Compared to the 1763-L16AWA, this controller is capable of integrating high-speed counters, totalizers and encoders unlike the 1763-L16AWA that has no high-speed input channels.
