The MicroLogix 1000 1761-L16BB Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) features an integrated 1KB Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) memory that is pre-allocated for 737 instruction words and 437 Data Words. The embedded I/O amounts to Sixteen (16) channels which comprises of Ten (10) 24VDC inputs, Four (4) MOSFET sourcing outputs and Two (2) Relay outputs. All MicroLogix 1000 that operates in DC voltage has an embedded High-speed input channel that supports 6.6 Khz switching frequency. The power supply requirement of this controller is 24VDC with acceptable operating voltage of 20.4Ð26.4V dc. This controller is capable of scanning and executing user program at a speed of time of 1.5 ms for a 500-instruction program. Alternatively, this controller supports the use of MicroLogix 1000 Hand-Held Programmer (HHP) with part number 1761-HHP-B30. The embedded input channels of the 1761-L16BBB may operate in sinking and sourcing configuration. There are Ten (10) 24VDC inputs which operate at a voltage range of 20.4 - 26.4 VDC. The Six (6) is composed of Two (2) relay outputs that are Normally Open (N.O.) contacts. These contacts may be operated with voltage categories of 24-125VDC and 120 - 240VAC where the continuous Current rating of each are 2.0A for 24VDC, 1.0A for 125VDC and 2.5A for 120VAC / 240VAC operation. The Four (4) MOSFET outputs are sourcing output channels that provides 24VDC voltage along 1.0 A @ 55 Degree Celsius (131 ¡F) and 1.5 A @ 30 Degree Celsius (86 ¡F). The high-speed input channels operates at 6.6 kHz switching frequency which may be used for high-speed counting application in factory automation applications and totalizer pulse interface for flow totalizing in process automation. The 1761-L16BBB has One (1) RS232 8-Pin mini DIN communication channel configurable for DF1 and MODBUS RTU. The default setting of this port is DF1 protocol, set for 9600 Baud Rate, Node Address 1 that is configurable for 0-254, No Parity, Stop Bits at 1, Error Detection set to CRC, DLE NAK to N Retries, DLE ENQ to N Retries, ACKnowledgement Timeout to 1s, Duplicate Packet Detection to Enabled, Control Line No handshaking, Embedded response to enabled. The embedded port also supports MODBUS RTU slave which may be used to connect up to 254 devices. Typical application includes integration of Power Meters and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED), commonly found in Power Metering or Substation automation applications. If needed to connect to a more sophisticated network of devices, integrated port supports use of Allen-Bradley interface converters or 3rd party devices as well. AB Adavnaced Interface Converter (AIC) includes 1761-NET-ENI or 1761-NET-ENIW for Ethernet, 1761-NET-DNI for DeviceNet and 1761-NET-AIC for DH485 network.
