The Allen-Bradley 1761-HHP-B30 is a MicroLogix 1000 Hand-Help Programmer (HHP). This module permits creation, editing, monitoring and Troubleshooting of Boolean programs. The Allen-Bradley 1761-HHP-B30 is a Hand-Held Programmer intended for use with the MicroLogix 1000 product family. This Hand-Held programmer provides mobile and convenient programming options. It can be used to prepare user programs, edit an existing program, monitor and troubleshoot an actively running program within the controllerÕs memory. This programmer features a single RS232 Communication port that supports DF1 communication protocol. It has an LCD display that is capable of 16 Character X Two (2) Line Display. It is embedded with Thirty (30) Key rubber / Carbon keypad assembly. This module also supports installation of Memory module with sizes of 8Kbytes and 64Kbytes. Specific part number for this memory modules are 1761-HHM-K08 and 1761-HHM-K64 respectively. With a memory module, additional operations is supported particularly Uploading of program from the MicroLogix 1000 Controller, Downloading of Program from the HHPÕs memory module to the controller and clearing of memory. Installation of memory module to the Hand-Held Programmer must be done when the HHP is disconnected to the power source, specifically the controller. The memory module compartment is located at the back of the programmer that is covered by a slide-on door. Remove this memory module doors to locate the installation sockets where the memory module shall align. Align and install the memory by applying a firm and even pressure. Re-install the memory module door and reconnect the cable. Prevent damage to the memory module when physically handling the unit. Do not touch the module except the end of the carrier or plastic edges of the protective housing. Do not rest the module to an ungrounded surface or presence of static electricity is present. These charges may damage, delete or corrupt the data stored within the module. The embedded keys of the Hand-Held programmer are classified into Four (4) types. This buttons include Diagnostic / Troubleshooting keys that is used for interacting to a faulted controller and to maintain continuous running condition, Instruction keys which permits the user to enter program instructions, General Editing keys used to make quick changes to the controller, and Navigation keys to move from different parts of the program and scan specific sections. The Hand-Held Programmer has Six (6) Functional areas. Each area holds a specific function of parameter of the programmer. These functional areas are Home, Menu, Mode, Program Monitor, Data Monitor, and Multi-Point Function. The Home area provides access to the HHPÕs program and controller information. The Menu area provides access to various program and system tasks such as LANGUAGE, ACCEPT EDITS, PROG CONFIG, MEM MODULE, CLEAR FORCES, CLEAR PROG, COMMS, AND CONTRAST settings. Under Mode area, the controllerÕs operation mode may be modified. The Program monitor Area allows creation of user program, viewing, editing and troubleshooting of logic. The Data Monitor area allows viewing and editing of values utilized in the user program. The data accessed by this function area is separated into Output, Input, Status, Bit, Timer, Counter, Control, and Integer files.
