About 1761-HHM-K64
The 1761-HHM-K64 is an Allen-Bradley accessory that is used with the MicroLogix 1000 Hand-Held Programmer. This product is a memory module that is installed at the compartment, positioned at the back of the programmer. This memory module has an embedded memory amounting to 64Kbytes. It can be used to store up to Eight (8) MicroLogix 1000 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). This memory module may be transferred from one programmer to another. In doing such operation or removing and inserting the memory module, the Hand-Held Programmer unit must be powered down. To install this memory module to the Hand-Held Programmer, the HHP must be disconnected to the controller. Remove the HHP cable or turn off the Controller. Uninstall the memory module door, located at the back of the HHP. Once the memory module door has been removed. Align the memory moduleÕs socket to the male socket installed on the HHP. Place the memory module and apply firm and even pressure to securely attached the memory module. Install back the memory module door, connect the HHP cable and power up the controller. Prevent damage to the memory module when physically handling the unit. Do not touch the module except the end of the carrier or plastic edges of the protective housing. Do not rest the module to an ungrounded surface or presence of static electricity is present. These charges may damage, delete or corrupt the data stored within the module. This memory module is a practical accessory as this may be used as backup program storage of any MicroLogix 1000 controller, especially if the controller is not installed with a non-volatile memory. In case of a completely drained battery resulting to program deletion, this memory module may restore the operation of the controller by simply downloading the stored program. Thus, this may prevent a prolonged downtime resulting to productivity loss. The memory module is put into use by accessing the menu parameters and choosing the option MEM MODULE. When this option is initiated, the memory module options will be displayed such as Load Program which refers to transferring the stored program from the memory module to the controller, Store program which means transfer of program from the controller to the memory module and Clear program which refers to resetting the memory moduleÕs memory. To retrieve the program from the memory module, initiate the LOAD PPROGRAM option. Set the controller to Remote Program Mode (RPRG), Enter Menu and choose LOAD PROGRAM command. When this command is initiated, a list of existing programs available for download will be displayed. Ensure that the proper program for the specific controller is selected. To store a program to a memory module, put the controller to RPRG mode, enter menu and choose MEM MODULE. Select the STORE PROGRAM option. When this command is initiated, the name of the program will display and the remaining available memory will be displayed as well. To clear the memory module of its contents, initiate MEM MODULE and select CLEAR PROGRAM.
