The Allen-Bradley 1794-PS1 module is an adapter module and power supply. It has been manufactured as part of the Allen-Bradley Flex I/O series. A complete Allen-Bradley Flex I/O system consists of an adapter module like the 1794-PS1 adapter module, a terminal base, and an I/O module. These components are all made to function like rack-based I/O devices and handle the same applications as the rack-based I/O devices. The specific purpose of the 1794-PS1 adapter module is to act as a power supply which can provide the internal logic power for up to 8 different I/O modules at a time. The whole Flex I/O system is designed to be easy to mount on DIN rail, and easy to disconnect from the DIN rail when necessary.
